Baron Wormser (born 1948 Baltimore, Maryland) is an American poet.〔http://www.une.edu/news/2010/wormser.cfm〕 In 2000, he was appointed Poet Laureate of Maine. In 2000, he was writer in residence at the University of South Dakota. Since 2002, he has taught in the Stonecoast MFA program at the University of Southern Maine, and since 2009, Fairfield University.〔http://www.sarabandebooks.org/?page_id=427〕 He founded the Frost Place Conference on Poetry and Teaching at The Frost Place in Franconia, New Hampshire〔http://www.frostplace.org/html/conference-teaching.html〕 and is currently director of educational outreach at the Frost Place.
